^ I don't understand why you're still so particular about chart rankings on Oricon for the longest time
I stopped caring about Oricon rankings a long time ago . Doesn't mean an artiste release get #1 it means he/she really deserves it
So many artistes I support dream of getting #1 on Oricon . Some never obtain a #1 release while others took them so long to get hold of a precious #1 spot (SID waited for almost 10 years before they obtained their 1st #1 release with SID 10th Anniversary BEST)
ayaka has obtained #1 releases for her previous releases but that's not what I got into her music almost a decade ago , I like her music plain & simple
If I support ayaka just because she keep releasing back to back #1 releases , then that's superficial on my part
If everyone has the same mentality in supporting so & so just because they keep getting #1 releases be it if they really deserve it or not , then that's really sad & shallow
End of the day do I feel 30 y/o deserves to get #1 ? Probably but is it the end of the world that it did not ? NO
