I have similar feeling, the dubstep (or in general speaking, any EDM or sorts) kinda ruins the song for me. I think the song would have much more potential if she didn't go to this direction. I love the melody, just not the arrangement. But then, I guess she's finding new direction (after two beautiful organic albums
), and I don't mind she keeps testing as long as the final product (aka, new album) is interesting
.
PS: I hope she will release a ballad version or non-dubstep version of Face My Fears in the future.
