I actually like the Japanese version more.
Vocals sound somehow better and more natural (well, that's obvious).
Plus I love the original by Ricky Martin and don't need a cover, even though Kuu's is pretty good.
I wonder if the endings of the MVs will be different as the lyrics for both versions are oppositional (dancing in the rain - dancing in the sun)?
The lyrics of the Japanese version also talk about turning into a mermaid - Black Cherry anyone?
