I can’t even fucking believe what just happened to me.
So the show was great, it was my first time seeing her in a hall as opposed to a stadium or arena, and her energy was AMAZING.
On a whim my sister and I entered the venue through the line you were meant to wait in if you wanted to be entered for the post-show lottery where you could have your picture taken on stage (no Kuu included). I figured it didn’t hurt to wait in line a bit longer but didn’t even remotely bank on winning.
Except I did? They chose ten attendees at random and posted the seat numbers in the lobby so you could see if you were chosen as everyone was exiting the venue and I legit thought I was going to die of shock when I saw my seat number.
One of the winners didn’t show so the staff took nine of us backstage (there was one other foreigner there; AHS didn’t come up in conversation but holler if you’re reading this!) and we got to go have our picture taken one by one. They were already starting to dismantle it as this was the last Fukuoka show but it was a fun novelty thing to do I guess.
I was third in line, and the staff showed each of us out of the hall when we were done with our photos so I made my way back up to where my sister was waiting. Honestly I didn’t love my pictures but I was joking about it with the staff and such
AND THEN
THE AFOREMENTIONED FOREIGNER, WHO WAS BEHIND ME IN LINE
comes out and says “I’m so sorry for what I’m about to tell you but just as I was leaving after my pictures Kumi came out to see everyone and shake their hands”
You guys. I fucking sobbed. Every other person behind me in line got one on one time with her and when I saw the staff member that had originally taken us down to the stage I hurried over and asked if she was still there only for him to be like, “Nope.”
And that’s the story of how one person can simultaneously have the best and worst luck in the world. I’m still not over it and probably never will be. TT_____TT
