I don’t think she want a lot of dancers with her on stage just for the sakes of having a lot of them with her. It’s seems to me she want to provide entertainment show and she is just a piece of it while before she was the centerpiece.
Of course she still is the centerpiece but she lets her crew shining more.
I’m not fond about this choice she has enough stage presence to be alone with band members but it’s how she envisions her shows.
