As far as I know, someone else here wrote that her singing career was mentioned in the book. I think it was something like ayu saying she was about to release her first album (NFN) when she met Max. In general, ayu has never been too proud of her idol era, so I assume that plays into the whole thing. Plus, leaving out her early attempts at being a singer adds to that rough diamond story of the drama.
