Tokyohive - Kitagawa Keiko & DAIGO welcome baby girl

On September 7, actress Kitagawa Keiko (34) and singer DAIGO (42) announced the birth of their first child, a baby girl.

Kitagawa wrote on her blog, "The other day, I safely gave birth to my first child, a baby girl. Both myself and baby are healthy. I feel happy that she was born without any problems." She continued to express, "I am full of gratefulness to those who have supported me until my delivery. Thank you very much."

On returning to work, she commented, "I will make an announcement again," and concluded, "Though we are unable to foresee the future, I am praying for everyone's health from the bottom of my heart."

DAIGO also announced via his blog, "I apologize for the personal matter, but my first child was born the other day. Both mom and baby are healthy. It's a cute girl. I am a PP (papa)!" He added, "Although we are in difficult times, my wife did her best, and I am just happy that she was born healthily."

Finally, he stated, "We will continue to support each other as family, so it would make me happy if you would watch over us warmly. Everyday we are faced with unplanned circumstances, but please take care of yourselves."

Kitagawa and DAIGO tied the knot in January of 2016, and announced their first pregnancy earlier in April. During their marriage press conference, DAIGO had mentioned that he wanted at least three kids. Congratulations to the new parents!
