Tegoshi Yuya to make his solo debut on July 7

Former NEWS member Tegoshi Yuya will make his solo debut next month.

It's been exactly one year since Tegoshi held a press conference after resigning from Johnny's & Associates.

On July 7, he will release his digital single "Cinnamon," which will be followed by a new digital single every month until December. Then, he will hold concerts at three major cities in September and will release his first album at the end of the year.

Tegoshi will be making his solo debut from FOR LIFE MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT. According to sources, the company that manages Tegoshi's fan club introduced the two parties to each other. Their production staff heard Tegoshi's singing and were "astonished at wide singing range and singing ability."

After multiple discussions, Tegoshi felt that FOR LIFE MUSIC understood the direction of his musicality. As such, he decided to move forward with them one year after leaving Johnny's. His first single "Cinnamon" is described as a medium-tempo love song that compares true love to the flower language of cinnamon.

Tegoshi will also appear in '24-Hour TikTok LIVE 2021' to be held on July 3 and 4 where he will perform "Cinnamon" with a live band. Furthermore, he will serve as the main personality of the music programme 'Supepura Tegoshi' on Space Shower TV Plus, which will broadcast once a month.
