I beg to differ. I have a Net MD MZ-N505. I paid only $100 for it brand new, it fits in my pocket and you can't tell that it's in there, a AA battery lasts forever in it, and I can get a pack of 5 MDs for less than $10 and have picked them up for as cheap as 75 cents each. Plus I can fit 5 to 7 full CDs on one disc (ripping in LP4) or 3 or 4 (in LP2). Most mp3 players cost 3 to 5 times as much and the memory cards are cost too much for too little space. The iPod really seems to be the only worthwhile mp3 player out right now. Other hard disk based mp3 players are bulky and suck batteries dry quickly. For now, I'll stick to MD.
