It is not easy to open up and show vulnerability, I admire her for writing that blog post.
Whatever is going on, because it might be work-related, or private, we don't know, I hope she will get through. She delivered two solid songs this year, one more single to come, which she seems to be excited about. She did well, and it is good to take a step back and see where to go next.
About her announcing stuff and then pushing back deadlines. I have seen multiple artists doing this. Maybe this is her assuring herself she is on the right track, even though she is feeling not quite happy about it. Somebody already said it here, but Ayu usually works in limited time - so maybe she is doing it, to give herself that push to just deliver.
But whatever may have worked in the past, it surely has not have to work every time.
I wasn't too disappointed in the release date delay, because I have Mask to look forward to. The album will come soon enough. The only thing I hope is that her excitement about working on the album is genuine, and not something to just keep going on and being unhappy about the progress.
