i personally think the easiest way to sing ayu's songs (or any japanese song for that matter) is to 1) Learn how to pronounce things in japanese. This is the KEY in being able to sing correctly. Singing in japanese doesnt necessarily require you to know japanese (just so you dont get scared or anything ^^; lol)
Then, after you've pretty much mastered the pronounciation, listen to the song a little bit, get the feel of it, note how fast/slow the song is, just to know the song's rhythm. Then find the lyrics for it. A good site for lyrics is
http://ayumi.primenova.com. Listen to the song, while studying the lyrics, to see how they match up.
Then try singing along with Ayu using the lyrics to guide you. If you keep doing this, you'll eventually have the song memorized ^^
