To be frank this is probably one of her worst album releases ever. Extremely generic. I'm highly disappointed in this album thus far (and I've heard almost the entire thing now) and I won't subject myself to posting "THE BEZD EVAAAR!!!11221shift+one" when I don't think it is.

I am not one of those people who thinks that I am... was the best ever either. Ayu's come up with a lot of original music and now she's sinking big time on originality. This album sounds half-assed to me. I'm not sorry for being honest either.

Maybe she just wants to release crap in order to lose fans so she won't be on top anymore....

Let me say it again. I would support Ayumi's music that she releases if its good music that I enjoy listening to. I don't like MY STORY thus far, its generic and recycled music.

Thank you for someone on here who thinks the same. She's tarnished her singing talent and tarnished her image. She is now going down way down the popularity side. I'm not even sure if she is still #1 in Asia/Japan. In my opinion Catcher in the Light was the only good song on here. Take a craptastic song like Honey and then listen to another one of her older songs such as Surreal and tell me what's better.

Besides all of her songs now are the same pattern: Lyrics-Chorus-Half Lyrics-Chorus-Chorus-Beat drop of someother minor Lyrics or Chorus-Beat Speed Chorus-Chorus-Chorus-Fade

Perfect song of this is Greatful Days and Angels Song. Probably almost all of My Story as well. A song like Surreal is so different from that pattern since there's really no chorus to it that repeats as much as her happy songs. Rainbow (personal favorite) is the same as Surreal. They don't follow that basic structure of a song or anywhere near it.

Rainbow: Lyric-Lyric-Lyric-Instrumental-Lyric-Chorus-Chorus-Chorus-Fade

Probably one of the reasons why I favor this song over most others. I've noticed with lots of boy rock wannabe bands in America and pop star songs follow the basic structure of a song as listed above(not Rainbow). They all have the full set of first verse lyrics, then chorus, then half verse of lyrics in which if they perform live, they cut this part of the lyrics out and skip to the chorus, then to the beatdrop where the bpm would usually slow down and bgm quets down so you hear just the vocals then the beat comes back for more chorus and fade.

Ayumi fell off my top list of good artists and plummeted to the has-beens like Mariah Crazy. Except Ayumi hasn't had a nervous breakdown.

As for me, do I have anything ever positive to say about Ayumi? Loads of stuff, just not on this forum because I refuse to be bias and think everything she does or has done is so great. Her peak started at Loveppears went up at Duty and I Am... then plummeted. Unless she can do something insane like the cure fo cancer or in a smaller case come out with an amazing maxi single, she's just going to end up like Utada Hikaru whom is rarely talked about now.

On topic, yes I liked Catcher in the Light a lot, in fact I'm making it on StepMania and for anyone who wants my StepMania sim files, IM me on AIM at Landmass Xpander
