User name is the not the main reasons i think, or seller will use JapanID but will still sell overseas... Everything is really cheap on yahoo japan auction, sometime i find something at 1000 yen, the same thing is about 20$ on ebay or 40 SGD on yahoo auction singapore (without shipping cost).
It will be much better for japanese sellers to sell their marchandise overseas, cause american or european ppl spend much money for some "rare" or "exclusive" japanese things
