A couple weeks back there was a mudslide where a few dozen houses collapsed with people in them. Like 10 people died and there's a whole bunch missing. They didn't really have any warning from what I've heard.
Other mudslides have freeways closed off and it takes 4+ hours to get to some places where it'd normally take 15 min.
