Actually, The Magnetic Fields is the reason that Arcade Fire is on Merge. Something about a song that Win really liked and then actively tried to get on Merge. I'm not sure, but Win said it himself when they covered one of TMF's songs on the radio. Lemme see if I can find the recording and I'll post it here. |
Oooh, wait, I heard that. That's when the played on Morning Becomes Eclectic, right? I have the recording right here. The song was 'Born On A Train', if I'm not mistaken. Win was indeed talking about it being a cover song in the interview, but I wasn't paying close attention so I missed the part where he said whose song it was. Not sure though.
