Avril is okay. Complicated was fine when I first heard it but it was entirely overplayed to the point where it racks your brain each time you hear it. I'm With You (even though I call it "Hard Cold Nights") is a better song until she starts yelling "I'M WITH YAAAAAAAHOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUU!!!!! I'M WITH YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUU!!!!!" It actually makes me want to listen to a Vanessa Carlton song even though she's not any better than Avril.
My biggest pet peeve about Avril is how whenever I try to download Ayu Trance 2, I always get the version that's actually a repeated version of Complicated about 30 times in a row. >_< She just happens to be an overplayed artist and her popularity might decline if it hasn't already. As I said, she's an okay artist but there are other Western female "pop rockers" who are much better.
