I was very very surprised. I never expected this style to be used by Ayu. Sounded odd at first but it's kinda addicting though. Hitomi Shimatani tried Gospel once with "Glorious Days" and it was a really fun song.
I like this trend. First she did rock, then techno-pop mixed, then ballads and now gospel. Much better than last year which had two ballad singles and one rock song. More variety and gets people interested. It was like she was stuck in the same style and themes last year but this year seems more varied and interesting.
Many artists have this tendency to get stuck into a routine which is fine for a couple of years but ends up getting really boring in the end when it goes on and on. So I think this genre was a good choice.
