i figured Pride would be a ballad...and i'm happy it is as i miss ayumi's ballads...even though i also love her fast rockish songs. anyhow, i like it, i'm anxious to hear the full version. i think it sounds quite sad, which is a good thing i think. also, i thought the beginning reminded me of that old song "unchained melody" haha.
