It's unclear what the format will be this year. Usually artists perform new songs, but based on the poll NHK did, it looks like maybe they are going to do a show of J-Pop classics.
Tsunku has been talking about MM's Love Machine performance, so it does seem like it will be old songs this year. Maybe they will perform both old and new, but that seems like the show would run way to long if they did that.
