In her earlier career she had average songs as well, but a lot of people just got to know ayu only after she already had 3-4 albums so they were exposed all at once to a lot of amazing songs (so many that they wouldn't even notice the average songs), and that got into their impression that EVERYTHING from her earlier career was extremely much better than any of her recent releases. What do they want? to compare LOVeppears + Duty + I am...+ RAINBOW + Memorial address + MY STORY -including all the songs in them- and say that those were much better than a single song Bold & Delicious? Sometimes i have the impression that by each new song ayu releases, some people just pick all of ayu's past songs together and confront them against that single new song alone (kinda like these 245 songs together are much better than this new one, proof that ayu is declining, nonsense, obviously).
UvegotMail said something really true. Why do some people want ayu leave instead of releasing things they considerer to be bad? They should be the ones to stop listening to her. It shows that people just live by appearances, they want to live in the "ayu was always the perfect singer", which is absurd. If ayumi wanted to sing a bunch of horrid crap songs that irritated me, I wouldn't wish for her to leave, I would just simply stop listening to her. She can sing anything she wants and i'm glad at the moment, i'm really enjoying what she's been releasing but the moment she makes something I don't like I won't bother being shocked and saying how much she has declined or that she's better just leave.

That's so true. WHen someone discovers ayu there is so much material, it's like an endless flow of music, remixes, everything. Lot of it is so great, there are so many "potentially" favourite songs that when something new is released that might sound" bad" it's easy to think that she never released something like that before. I think people just need to remember that f.ex ASFXX had songs like "signal" and that UNITE! was released between evolution and M. =P kind of. (I'm not saying that these songs I mentioned are bad (I liek them a lot), but they're obiously not the biggest fan favourites)
