OK, so if Best~first things~ was released in a very good year and sold two times what it did this year [2,4 million copies] then A BEST would still sell more.

And by the way, BoA best-selling single, Valenti, sold 184,120 according to Oricon.

And I don't understand why you advise members not to look at the comparisions literally. The numbers are true and most of the singles/albums are from the last two years. It's a fact: all the other Jpop female artists have a long way before they reach Ayumi Hamasaki.

Mika album was released a week earlier and it's a best album. Plus, Mika Nakashima is very big right now with all the Nana buzz and all and Mika is a very big artist, too. As a female artist, I think her albums just sell less than Ayumi and BoA [but I'm not 100% sure].
1) i said "it seemed..." which meant that i thought u said it. i already knew u didnt since u already said no.
2) i dont no how u think im complaining when i just said "it seemed..."
3) i advise the members not to take it literally cos sum members do forget that album sales have declined by half since 2001. yes, these numbers r fact but sum things havent been taken into consideration. for example, u dont compare prices w/today w/prices 20, 25 yrs ago. u dont say "wow, shoes only cost $10 bak then now it costs $50, so expensive." statements like these r illogical as the person forgot to factor in inflation. the same factor [not inflation tho] should b applied to comparing album sales w/the past.
4) i never said that ai, BoA, koda, mika etc. r coming close to wut ayu has acheived rite now or even in the near future.
5) i never said Best~first things~ wouldve sold more than A BEST. all i said was that it was unfair for us to compare these 2 best albums simply looking at the number n not factoring other effects. the intent was to say that the gap btwn the 2 albums wouldnt have been as much as this 1 if kumi's best was released in 2001 [which u have already shown in ur example]
6) yes, BoA's VALENTI sold 184k during the 2002 oricon yr. but, it continued selling past the oricon cutoff date into the 2003 oricon yr. the number is about 17k so it isnt shown on the 2003 oricon top 100 singles chart. but the final number is shown on part of the site annabelle gave to us.
