But I took this things in consideration! I'm not comparing ayu albums with albums releaseds in 1979, I'm comparing with albums from 2005, 2004. I mean, I know compared A BEST with BEST FIRST THINGS but it wasn't a small difference. I mean, A BEST is one of the best-selling albums in Japan history, if BEST FIRST THINGS was released in a very good year for the japanese industry [and in 2001, problems with CDs being burned on the computer and people not buying, just rentings was already a big deal. Not as it is today, with downloads and everything, but it was] it wouldn't sell over 4 million copies.

The other albums are all from the last two years. I'm almost sure the prices didn't go up or down, because I used to buy Jpop albums and I still pay almost the same.

5) i never said Best~first things~ wouldve sold more than A BEST. all i said was that it was unfair for us to compare these 2 best albums simply looking at the number n not factoring other effects. the intent was to say that the gap btwn the 2 albums wouldnt have been as much as this 1 if kumi's best was released in 2001 [which u have already shown in ur example]
See above. I'm sure the gap would be big, because if it was a good year, Koda could sell 2 million copies but I dobut she would reach the 3 million copies. OK, I'm not God to be sure she wouldn't reach, but the prodabilities are very small: when Ayumi released her A Best she was the biggest, she did 24 magazine cover in two months, she was everywhere, she had lots of number one singles, she was doing concert in Domes. And right now Koda Kumi is getting bigger, but she's not close to what Ayumi used to be in 2001.

yes, BoA's VALENTI sold 184k during the 2002 oricon yr. but, it continued selling past the oricon cutoff date into the 2003 oricon yr. the number is about 17k so it isnt shown on the 2003 oricon top 100 singles chart. but the final number is shown on part of the site annabelle gave to us.
Does Oricon give the numbers of copies sold to singles outside the Top 100??

No, I was saying that if Best First Things sold two times more than it did today (1,2 million, 2 times more: 2.4 million) it would still have a huge gap with A BEST.
