I don't understand what you're saying.
"I am a firm believer in MPA" and then you say "The MPA is RAPING the future music industry."
I don't know, I don't believe having music tabs is wrongful [especially if you pay for them] but if you think about it, isn't that the essence of the music? By having them illegally it's like your downloading an mp3.
I don't think music is about "learning new styles" as it is about mixing, creating, and editing old styles. Most muscians need infuence, whether it be another artist or the fact that they're counter acting another musical style, downloading music allows artist to hear new styles which can be very inligthning and influencial.
Illegal music downloads don't always rob an artist, not everyone can be reached by the market of sales. Some people are poor or don't live in an area where the music is available for sale. This artist wouldn’t be making a profit off the CD from these people to begin with.
I would compare illegal downloading to mixtapes. Obviously that hurt the music buisness so much it never rebounded :\ <---sarcasm [for those who are slow].
I think this is just another hurdle musicians can learn to work around. People need to learn to live in the world of "numbers," and in one with tangibles.
