I saw this on U-O.net, I don't know if it's true but it's kind of intresting.

The typical 1/f ¡¡noise characteristics give a kind of healings to many young listeners, resonating with our physical or mental fluctuations. This fact could further be applied to release our stresses by these sorts of fluctuations.
