I've seen people on ebay using Ayu's eyes as an after pic for eyelid glue/tape before as well.
I've heard of those contacts before. They're pretty popular in Japan as well as in other Asian countries. And yes, their sole purpose do make the iris seem bigger so your eyes will "look bigger" but I think the end results look scary and rather disturbing. *shudders*
