The melodies belong to GEO, not Ayumi Hamasaki. Apparently Ayu liked the music so what does matter if other people record the song too? If GEO wanted to produce 50 different versions of the song with 50 different singers why would it make any difference?
If it had been anyone besides Hamasaki though, I would think it weird that GEO is releasing two versions of the same songs in the same market, but I'm sure Ayu's popularity is going to rub off on SWEETBOX. Smart move for GEO and Jade.

Just curious, but do you have a source for this statement? I don't remember reading anywhere the story of how Ayu chose GEO's tunes.
