To watch that video, you need to be signed up on Youtube (takes 2 seconds, go ahead and do it) because the person flagged it as "18+". It's safe to watch, though, so don't worry. It's a really stupid clip from an Idol video Ayu did a long time ago, where she bounces around in a bikini and answers pointless questions. She's soooo young! I translated the interview part (towards the end) so you can see some of her often ditsy answers. What happens is a word (not necessarily a question) pops up on the screen and she makes a comment.

Ayumi was kind of a fall-out it seems. Her earliest lyrics reflected this also, and obiously a LOT of people both in Japan and overseas can relate to that. Perhaps her diving popularity is not only because she's getting older and yesterdays news, but also because, like somebody mentions in the distance thread, that she no longer the outsider who feels lost etc, and that she needs to find new material for her songs that she can feel strongly about. I'm not thinking that her lyrics have turned worse, but it doesen't seem that her music is equal with her lyrics and emotions IMO. It still happens, but not nearly as often as before.
