I agree with those who've said that people don't like to listen to songs in other languages -- I know my friends are like that. Perhaps if ayu wasn't so pop based (because the basis of the pop fan base is the teenies who like to sing along) she would gain more popularity from those who are willing to embrace songs in other languages...

But then again, Americans are very narrow-minded -- they don't even embrace European/English/Australian artists such as the Sugababes, Kylie Minogue or Delta Goodrem *grumbles*
