I prefer reading different opinions on something, because it's more interesting, and it means that this is a good place where you can express your opinion on something freely. One forum I used to post at, it's not a good place to post at now unless you really really like something - any other opinion is just not welcome there. The only 'honest' opinions allowed are positive ones, nothing else. You can't give a constructive criticism on anything without being attacked. It all happened because the owners wanted to stop some really negative stuff, and tried to make the place very positive, but now it's out of control and a lot of people, including me, don't feel comfortable even giving a good reason for not liking something. I prefer places like AHS, where everyone can give their opinion.
