Yes, I am well aware of what it means. But the point is, is that is not the meaning that most people today associate with it and it is with that in mind that this album was titled that way - I highly doubt Shakira is referring to sucking on her thumb as a child.
However, even the Feudian definition itself is sexual - it's not the "stages of life", it is the "psycho-sexual" stages of life.
