As I heard Ayu didnīt want to attend and recive the award because 2004 was the year with the rumors that Max Matsuura leaving avex and so on...
Ayu said she donīt want to win the award only because the attention was on the rumors, she wantet to win because of her singing...so she rejected.
And as I know if you do that you can never win again.
