I also read in a some Japanese article that they were thinking of awarding Ayu's song HEAVEN, but it never happened.

Yeah I heard about that too. It's sort of an unwritten rule that makes you get blacklisted from winning any awards.
Kind of like when Ami Suzuki was blacklisted when her parents sued her company & no one would give her a contract anymore (until Max Matsuura picked her up)
