I guess she's smoking because of the nerves, she's a bit nervous and as you have said anxious person.

if it comes to Ayu, thanks for the pic of 'male' Ayu. IMO, such discussions are pointless, because until Ayu by herself will tell in interview she is a smoker, it'll be just a speculation.
