The question is, was it a real autograph or a printed one? A lot of more popular stars have pre-printed autographs.
Or, as with the case of Morning Musume, they have a stack of headshots that they'll sign in one day and the management will mail them out accordingly. It's highly unlikely that someone like Ayu would sort through the fanmail.
