I don't think I've been in this thread before o_o..so here goes.
I assume Ayumi is somewhat well-known in this area since I go to school in the DC suburbs; there are a lot of Asians around here, so I'm sure there's some Ayu influence somewhere in there
Utada is probably more well known here, though.
