I don't know if I think 36 days prior to release is 'last minute'. If it would have been finished by now maybe the release would have been a month earlier?
Not very great to just sit around with already finished stuff, the release date was simply put right when they think it will all be finished. If they don't manage to complete it to the release date it'll simply be pushed back
