Oh i get it. mmmh.. Some Aritist's are famous for their funky beats easy to dance with and shake your hips to the rythem. others are famous because they got a strong voice which makes you cry. It deppends also on the genre. HIP HOP of course has a strong male fanbase and pop are more for the girls. It isnt't really that strict but considering the lyrics it is at least a little. You also identify with the song if you are feeling it. If an artist has the gift to have both funky beats but can also make thoughtful songs he usally gets his records platinum.
