Here is my translation. This article sounds to be legit... We shall see!

Ayu & Ken Hirai's "Global Expansion" via CNN

Singers Ayumi Hamasaki (28) and Ken Hirai (34) will partake in "global expansion" via American news specialty channel, CNN. They will make guest appearances on CNNj's Japan-aimed "Talk Asia" (Dec 4-8, 11:30pm). Through the program, which is set to be broadcast in over 200 countries on CNN International, Hamasaki and Hirai will be introduced as singers representing not only Japan, but Asia.

The two will "expand globally" on behalf of Japan, as they were on the record as the top market-leading male and female solo artists.

Although Hamasaki has experience being interviewed for newspapers and magazines, and also during music program talk shows & documentaries, this is in fact her first long interview. Her recording is set to take place on the 9th, but due to a foreigner serving as the interviewer, it seems CNN Tokyo correspondents are focused on how Hamasaki will be dealt with in the 30-minute talk.

Meanwhile, Hirai's talk, in contrast to his mellow singing voice, is understood to be light-hearted. Having already finished his recording, the topic of music is said to have been the heart of the interview. There is much concern with how Hirai, as well, will come accross to the world.

"Talk Asia" (a sort of "Drawing Close to the Personal Side of World Celebrities" talk show) has, in the past, featured Prime Minister Shinzou Abe (52); and in addition to Hamasaki and Hirai, oozeki Shuu Kotoou (23) will make an appearance on this show, which will air for five consecutive nights.

Based on the fact alone that the broadcast will go into over 200 countries including the United States, Europe, and Asia, the two Japanese artists are certain to gain attention. Following this, it seems we can expect efforts with the world in sight from both Hamasaki and Hirai.
* oozeki is a title of rank in Sumou. I believe it is the 2nd highest.
