I don't know when the photo is from, but I guess it's from at least nearly the same date as the newspaper, 09/01/2006, it can be seen in the top right corner of the picture.
To clarify a bit:

I put the two pictures between each other, and the similarities can be seen. For the Secret picture there was a few curves added onto the A. The half heart shape is the leg of the Unicorn, take a careful look. Ayumis wing is covered by her clothes in the article, but apparent on the Secret cover, the complement to the wing Tomoya has.
