Maybe my English is bad, or it might be in fact a translation issue, but didn't she mean
her staff by "they suddenly passed a 12-song demo tape to me"a??
It goes "
they [her staff] really tried to contact
him", what means her staff tried to contact GEO (what they actually did without her knowledge).
Then it's "
they [her staff] ... passed a ... demo tape to me", which I think means that her staff recieved the
requested by Ayu tape from GEO. Not that GEO approached her, but that it was Ayu's intitiative in the very beginning and that GEO gave the tape in respond to Ayu's request (which reached him through her staff).
Meaning that it was Ayu who 'approached' SWEETBOX, not GEO approached Ayu.
