like most people said, anything acoustic orchestra, hapy ending
endless sorrow is a great ballad, but i think that it would be too noisy for yoru mom, in which case give her the I am... version of endless sorrow...
uhh...rainy day, jewel, secret, hmm...seasons...
there's alot of good ballads out there.
btw, everyone here are so lucky...my mom doesn't like ayu's voice T.T
