I only know that Ayu dropped out of school in her mid/late teens, I think she was picked up by a talent agency pretty soon after she did.

Fans barely read Masa's translations / the ROCKIN article. It's a must-read for any fan, almost like the NTV Interview 2004.

She tells about almost everything from her past - how she would stay after school in early grades becouse nobody could pick her up, how she did advertisements for various places in her home Fukuoka [like banks], how she went to Guam to do photoshoot and didn't want to behave like other hired girls did, how she stayed in a dormitory of her agency right after coming to Tokyo... the only subject it misses completly is the NOTHING FROM NOTHING release. They say no word about it.

aww poor Ayu id be there to help her.and yeah wikipedia doesnt get all of its info straight all the time (such as the Ayu's so called 41st singlge would be called violet)and it misses some of the information and besides the info is made from anyone that wants to make it.but its still a good thing and now i have another question thats kinda WAY off.........Ayu's dad is dead??i thought she just didnt know where he is,but in another forum it said thats hes dead somewhere in june 30th 2004??is this true??and how did she find this out??

I haven't heard about this.

I only know she doesn't really know her dad and the last memory of him she has is when he left home - once for good... She said she isn't really interested in anything that concerns him and doesn't feel the need to find/meet him.

I had always thought that she didn't even know who her father actually was, so then they wouldn't know if he had died or not since it isn't known who he actually is.

Oh yes definitely. Her first television credit is from 1992 which means she was already in Tokyo by the age of 14. She did go to a performing arts school there, but did not stay long. It's unclear how long she was actually there but I get the impression that it was short. Her official age of dropping out is unclear, but given this info I would have to guess anywhere between 13-16. I would guess 14/15.

It does get confusing, because the dates don't exactly match up.
