Maybe you should try some Oshare Kei or Visual Kei if you haven't yet ; even though they aren't that much punk, it's all I know ^^;

A couple of Tokyo Jihen's songs are punk too, although theyre more rock/alternative jazz.

Balzac
The Stalin
The Mad Capsule Markets
Straightener
Last Alliance
Charcoal Filter
Coaltar of the Deepers (maybe? They have sort of a punk sound but they have some slower ballads too.)

Punk...? Umm... I'm not too sure if there's really any "J-Punk" band...

But I suggest HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR.

There are actually quite a few J-punk bands, but some of them are older bands like The Stalin, Balzac, and Coaltar of the Deepers so most people don't know about them.

I don't think Coaltar of the Deepers is punk but I like them.

The Pillows kind of a punk feel but I wouldnt call them Punk. Some of Shiina Ringo's stuff can feel like that too, especially Konfukuron (album version).

honestly, most of the artists here aren't "punk" in the true sense of the word... they're hardrock at best...

if you want REAL punk a la sex pistols, I recommend the Japanoise artists:

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Japanoise_artists

once it goes mainstream, it isn't punk, imo...

I recommend you Show Wesugi, he makes many styles rock/punk/grunge/ballads ^^ especially in "al.ni.co" days.
