Metallica-Death Magnetic

Any fans here? I adore this album, it's absolutely amazing.

Due to my university preperations, I missed their concert at the O2 Arena in London...tickets were only £5?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?

I paid almost £50 in January to see Linkin Park

Ive been a fan for a long time and I herd they were finally releasing new material since their hiatus after Jason Newsted left and Hetfield went back into rehab. St. Anger sucked real bad so I wonder how good of an album this could be, but I guess I will check it out.

I've been debating whether or not to check out the album, since I've been hearing good and bad things about it. Guess it couldn't hurt, me and my uncle are going to see them in January.

Yeah they kinda did lol. Apparently their producer asked them to write the album as if they were doing a continuation of the "Master of Puppets" record.

It's still good though, no point in changing a good formula eh?

Nothing wrong with that. Can't go wrong with Master of Puppets

@hybridtheory: yeah I heard that too.

I don't think it's any surprise that they are going back to the Master of Puppets sound. I mean they gained a ton of fans at that era, I think it's what they are best known for, and I mean, isn't it a good move?

To me, St. Anger sucked. I was happy when I saw them at Summer Sanitarian that they hardly played any songs from it.

But anyway...I hope it's a good album. If every song sounds like Enter Sandman or something...I think people will still like it...

I think because of who they are, people are going to be extremely critical anyways. It must be hard to get feedback...

After hearing most of the album, I think it is a terrific album. I think it was a worthy #1 spot to beat out A COMPLETE in the World Charts. You can definitely feel that the tracks were inspired by their older works, and for the most part they sound great. I think my favorite tracks so far are The Broken, Beated, & Scarred and The Day That Never Comes.

Is anyone else disappointed by The Unforgiven III? I mean as a song it sounds alright, it just doesn't sound like an unforgiven. Perhaps they shoulda renamed the song.
