CHARA is a Japanese pop musician and actress, most recognised by her oddly toned voice. She has been cited as the influence for many other artists, such as Shiina Ringo and BONNIE PINK. She is most famous for singing the theme song to the movie Swallowtail, called Swallowtail Butterfly ~Ai no Uta~ (where she also played a starring role), which reached #1 on Oricon charts. She is also famous for her songs Yasashii Kimochi (Shiseido Tisera J CM song) and her duet with YUKI of JUDY AND MARY, Ai no Hi 3tsu Orange. Common themes in her lyrics include motherhood, innocence, love, beauty, and cheerfulness.

On April 1st it was revealed that yet another new song, called Aoi Kakera, would be used as the anime Telepathy Shoujo Ran's opening theme song. A few days later it was also revealed that a new album, titled Honey, will be released on June 25th, 2008. One of the songs said to be on the album, called Labrador, will be available as a download single on May 13th.

i searched and didnt find an "official thread" of chara
she should have one actually... she's an old singer and i thought everyone loves her
there's only a thread in the asian muic chat where i started the thread and ask wether you all know chara

I thought she had a thread, but I could be wrong. It doesnt matter though, there can never be enough Chara love =)

I am really interested in what direction she is going with for the album. So far the singles have all been so mid-tempoish.
