Ayu on Music Station; SEASONS + Microphone. Thoughts?

How do you think she did with her singing?
When she first started SEASONS I had to admit I was a little worried, I didn't think she'd manage to pull it off.
Then as she got through it more and more.. I discovered compared to recent lives where she was having difficulty with her voice. She did amazingly well! I was bracing myself for something purely awful!

For Microphone, I was really disturbed with her "Hooooooooooh!"s at the start.. Blech..
Aside from that, I don't think she did too bad performing the song live. I thought she'd probably severely struggle with it it too. More so the chorus parts, but amazingly she did pretty good!

That and I've got to say, while sitting in that chair during Microphone, she was looking rather fierce!

I think she did just fine with her singing.

Sure, she screamed like 4-5 times during SEASONS, but she screamed in 2000/2001 too, so... why is that so bad? Haha.

I feel like a lot of people overexaggerated their dislike for that performance [SEASONS OR Microphone] when it was really quite nice by Ayu's standards. I don't know if some people watched the same performance I did, but it was like... she was totally bringing it to MS, and you could tell she was happy with what she did even with the lyric flub in SEASONS, haha.

I was thinking I was going to dislike it really badly. More so seasons! but she surprised me!

and yeah, I thought the little flub was cute, and she sure did bring it! I was happy she did too! I just finally got to watch the performance too..

I loved this performance! I normally don't watch Lives that often but I did with SEASONS
+ Microphone and was surprised how good it worked out

i giggled with the lyrics mistake--they never bother me much. i don't care if she messes up, it's her mistake, not mine

vocally it was good

i enjoyed it

Only watched SEASONS and was very pleased..Feels like watching it again..haha..(the song itself is a WIN)..And i dont usually say this, but that was really one of her better lives in some time already

Yeah I thought SEASONS was done remarkably well. I don't think she was capable of doing much better - very proud of her I was indeed. Although the last recent live I watched of her was that evolution performance that she totally botched, ha ha. But yes, I did enjoy this live very very much! Plus, she looked gorgeous!

Indeed, it was okay. It's Ayu, eh? You can like it, you can dislike it.
Her 'live'-voice isn't touching me at all. I think she did better jobs in 2003, 2004 and 2005. But still; it's Ayu: our goddess.

I love the performance. First of all her dress is so beautiful .I would like to have the same *.*.
Seasons was really good even she screams a bit at the end of her sentence.
Microphone was amazing. Really, I never thought that she'd sing it sitting on a chair. I really like the choregraphy .It's really different from what she did before.

I thought both performances were so-so. I think she can't do any better right now, simply because of the state of her voice. It won't be like it was. I think it wasn't her best performance. Funny how some people will always defend Ayu and say she did great, when some others say she didn't do so well. If people say she didn't do so well, that's only realistic because her voice is in a poor state now. So it doesn't mean they attack Ayu, it's a fact. I really wanted to see Ayu perform Microphone. I'm just sad she doesn't have the vocal ability right now to pull it off alright.

her vocals were good. the best SEASONS performance so far if u dont count the lyrics hiccup.

I enjoyed in both SEASONS and Microphone
And SHE LOOKED ABSOLUTELY GODLIKE while sitting in that chair

She did amazingly good, I'm sorry that you can't see that. Her problem isn't her voice at that performance. Her problem is her age - she is not 22 anymore^^ I guess that's why it looked not that good to you. Her singing was very good though, and Microphone was very well for live performance.

Actually I think it's pretty cool. I still like Microphone more than SEASONS but overall it's not that bad in Ayu's standard

Gosh, it was absolutely perfect

For SEASONS, I thought she did very well, and the lyric goof was cute!

Then...Microphone came on...

Ayu's "hoh!" was cute to me

And the entire performance of the song was just

Ayu was gorgeous, her vocals were fabulous, and the chair part was just...

I loved this performance so much omg

I thought it was one of her better tv performances in the last couple of years. Maybe staying stationary ala like during her debut really helps her vocals. Does this Seasons performance compare to her performance on Heyx3 in 2004? No. But it wasn't bad. Actually the high notes I thought were fine, it was the low notes that she struggled with.

^Agree. I thought she sounded shaky during some low notes but almost the same as she did back in 2000 with the "la-la-i", "tanoshikuteee" and "naite ite mo" parts. The "hoo"s in Microphone were pretty bad, but otherwise that performance was vocally great, especially during choruses. ^^

Ive noticed she's been really careful while singing SEASONS and it turn out good, it's not perfect but considering her voice its good! Microphone was awsome!

true that Ayu kind of like screaming in some parts of SEASONS..
but she did great on the other parts

as for Microphone, she did struggling with the low notes at the beginning of the songs, but after that, I really love it a lot..
love her soft vibration on that bridge part? or which part is that..
it's really great performance..i enjoy it very much!
