yup I knew it that SMAP's the best selling Johnny's of all time & for that I'm not surprised .

What surprised me's V6 , I always thought they weren't strong sellers (especially in recent times) but guess not haha , especially since they've been around for 15 years

V6 were consistent, steady sellers in the 90s, i believe. but T&T...had so much potential to be more. thanks JE.

...and i just posted these #s everywhere in the JE threads, aha. :3

well you can look at it in another angle

HSJ is the youngest group being listed so it's an honour . The others like SMAP , V6 , TOKIO have been around for close to 15-20 years unlike HSJ which they started releasing material the last 3-4 years

V6 is only this high because they release a lot and have been doing so for a very long period. Have they ever actually ever had a mainstream hit? You know, in general, most material by JE groups is only for the fans, but sometimes a group has a real hit. Real Face was KAT-TUN's hit, Sorafune TOKIO's, etc. etc.

That's true. Their biggest hit is generally their debut song, I noticed. Real Face, ARASHI, weeek.

The only exception I can think of right now is SMAP, who weren't really that popular in the beginning...

yeah , weeek is not NEWS's debut but it's still 1 of their most prominent single releases to date & let alone , it was the 1st NEWS song I listened to

I count Kibou ~Yell~ as their debut offering but purist NEWS fans will count NEWS Nippon as so
