Love song Opinion
I've been lurking around but i didn't find a thread for "Love song" discussion so here we go
![]() Express anything you all want here! dislike or like! and I personally, I really love this song, the melody, the instruments they used, ayu's vocal.. I don't know, I just like it and she sang it pretty different way..she could be bold in some way, she could be soft in some way that's what i notice.. overall, I love it so much, it feels so nostalgic! i still love her vocal probably because i'm used to her current vocal, since i was not a very fond of her old-high pitched vocal.. for me, her current vocal is the best ![]() |

This song is one of her best in my opinion. It's so refreshing and different in terms of arrangement and composition.
Her vocals are amazing. She sounds like she's really put a lot of work into making her vocals much better. This was proven at a-nation '10. The lyrics are beautiful. Everything that she feels in this song is so easy for someone to relate to, especially me. Overall this song gets a 10/10 for me.

because I feel like everyone's thinking I'm a mindless troll for having a criticism for the song, I want to take the time to lay out everything I think is amazing in Love song:
My only complaint is, as I've mentioned, the kick drum.

I like the song, it's my favourite from this year. I didn't really care for any of her singles this year - I was more like, 'yeah, nice song, buuut...'
But with Love song I can really feel her passion for the lyrics ![]() |

I really like the song.
I think it's one of the best from recent years...In the top 3 from this year. I really feel like she imbued this song with, a diversity in the composition and arrangement, that reminds me of how her music used to be. I'm very happy that she's decided to appreciate pianos again outside of ballads, and, even though I think the composition is a little weird in terms of what it makes her do with her vocals, it's somehow refreshing. I like that the chorus and verses sort of blend together, I think it works well for this song, and I like all the high and low points that are here. It gives quite a different feel from her usual songs, and where the usual high and low points are. All in all, I say, 9/10. I think, it's not OMFG EPIC music-wise...but it certainly shines, and it was executed very well, and she has put a lot of herself into it, and it's very...loving? and sweet? I feel like it goes beyond the regular "romantic" love, and brings in all those feelings of love and compassion that people can have for each other. And that is just...more beautiful than anything.

Where do I start? It's the feeling in this song that makes me love it this much. When crossroad came out, it hit it right on the head - and I knew that if she stepped that up one more it would be stunning. She did it with Love song.
It's got what makes me love her old songs... it's beautiful, but it sounds so inharmonius at the same time, like what was a said a few posts up about the two guitars. It feels both messy and cohesive. Most of all though, when I listen to it, I can feel the song. It goes right through me and just demands I have an emotional reaction. That's the power that's been missing in her music for a while, in my opinion. She got it back a little with Last Links, found it with crossroad and has bought it back at full power with Love song. <3 |

The piano is nice. Everything else I'm iffy on. I'll get used to it I guess when it comes out in HQ. Her voice is taking some time to get used to as well lol. I've obviously been distant from this era.

this song is pure awesomeness. it blows me away every time. the arrangement is just so outstanding, and her vocals are the ayu vocals I love the most. they're like her emotional I am... vocals with some slight improvements. not to mention the lyrics are pretty amazing as well (nothing predictable like you would think with the title being what it is). a very solid song all around, and the best she has released this year.

the only good thing is the piano intro part, her singing technique is kinda harsh and weird.. o.O
well, i think it will just grow on me... ![]()

someone in Twitter said that ayu sounds like Shakira haha..
n i kinda agree with that.. she does sound so bold like how Shakira always sings, not in all parts though, just some parts..and i love it, it's totally a different Technic of singing she's been using lately I'm sorry but I'm not quite understand that some ppl think her vocal sounded weird/strained/deep/harsh/etc.., where I think she's only trying to sing songs with different kind of Technic.. hmm maybe some ppl are not used to it yet? |

i think it's one of the strongest Ayu songs post RnRC, imo! it's so nice & quite refreshing. i thought her voice was a bit weird at first, but i don't know if it's because of the quality of the leak, or whatever. but repeat plays have been real helpful with that.
![]() the credits for the song haven't been released yet, right? i'm thinking this is a TK (Tetsuya Komuro) song. it just ~sounds~ like one, imo. LOL.

It is really love at first sight kind of feeling.. and it is has a very energetic feel to it, you know that type making you feel strong kind of feeling, and it also contains some kind of reminiscent of a past event in your life, be it happy or sad. Without reading the translation, I have a feeling that she is relating a story or a similar past feeling that she has before.

I actually don't really like her vocals in this song. Maybe they need to grow on me more. But aside from the vocals, the song is quite good. I like the arrangement and lyrics~

It's refreshing and her vocal here is somewhat addictive. The way she sings is like in Last Angel.

definetly growing on me too!! such a new approach I am glad that this is the first song. compared to most of the album title tracks it is very good! (better than guilty, secret and m(u) title track IMO).
i cant wait to see the video! that hair is just so dbz haha. |

the first time i listen to it i feel the arrangement of Love songs is somewhat similar to Last Angel, in which the choruses are put before the verses (or should we say, it's hard to tell which one is chorus).
and i think that's why the 2 PVs are connected! i like how ayu sings in Love songs, very powerful. and i also like the guitar in the song. edit: the lyric is one of the main reason i love this song so much! i'm always surprised that ayu never fails to inspire me with her new song lyrics! |
