Female j-rock/visual kei artists/bands?

Hey guys,

I'm a sucker for great rock music and I have to say, Rock-Ayu is one of my favourites. Since Ayu doesn't release a lot of rock tracks anymore, I had to search for some alternatives. Whereas there seems to be an endless flood of new male J-Rock and especially Visual Kei groups, there aren't a lot of female rock artists or at least bands with a female vocalist out there. Any recommendations?

I already listen since ages to:
Aikawa Nanase
Do As Infinity
Every Little Thing
HANGRY & ANGRY
HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR
JUDY AND MARY
Kamiki Aya
Kana
Kitade Nana
Nakashima Mika
OLIVIA
Shiina Ringo
Tommy heavenly6
Tsuchiya Anna
Wakeshima Kanon

I just discovered MAA's old band MarBell (they are really great btw!) myco's (Changin' My Life) new band QUINTILLION QUIZ who's album I really loved! I also listened to Kitade Nana's old band Loveless and her new band THE TEENAGE KISSERS (I always had a secret love for Nana, but sometimes her music could be a little annoying, but THE TEENAGE KISSERS make pretty cool music I think).

I'm gratefull for any recommendations! =)

Exist Trace is an all female visual-kei band. I don't listen to them but I've been aware of them since I started listening to v-kei back in '07. And I believe they released a new album last year.

My only recommendation would be MELL. Sadly, she's active anymore (I'm pretty sure) nor does she classify as rock completely. But she has some good rock-influenced tracks. And she's generally awesome, and a former I've Sound vocalist. But she'd give some nice contributions to you if you liked them. I'll link some videos in a bit.

Whaaa~~~ exist†trace are an all female visual kei band? I didn't knew! I read their name a lot of times but I never listened to them. I definetely check them out!
ON JPopSuki MELL's albums are described as "pop, rock, female.vocalist, techno, trance, anison", sounds interesting. I'm downloading an album right now.

Do you mean VALSHE? If so, I know her opening and ending themes for Detective Conan. Both Butterfly Core and Kimi he no Uso are amazing!

Never heard of NANO, but the discription at JPopSuki sounds VERY promising, downloading her latest album Rock on. now!

um not exaqctly visual kei, but you can try Aya Hirano. She has quite a bit of rock in her stuff. She's quite fun!

also i bumped into this chick a while ago. She seems to be categorised as j-pop but i hear a lot of heavy e-guitars in her stuff.:

and this one is um, a band of the KERA model Akira, DISACODE. She's a chick in cross dressing. I'm not very much into her vocals but, i thought i'll throw them in here as well....

i know you only requested j-rock but if you don't know about this chick yet, even though she's been floating around, i suggest to check Amit (or as she is knows as Amei in a pop world). But she's chinese. I absolutely love her, even though i just discovered that chick. Her stuff is amazing. Especially newest album.

(this is actually a ~3min track on the album)

Than was another female v-kei band out there some years ago but I doubt they lasted and I really can't remember a thing about them. But yeah, exist trace is still going.

And I hope you like MELL. Her albums Mellscope and Mirage are both great. Mellscop probably being better to me. Mirage a bit prettier though.

Try some music from SCANDAL. Pretty powerful all-girl rock band that makes fun music. Stereopony as well. I'm on mobile so I can't find song recommendations but just listen to their most popular songs if you YouTube them.

Stereopony has been disbanded since, but NOHANA (bassist) and SHIHO (drums) are part of Draft King, just to let you know. Don't know where vocalist and guitarist AIMI is, though.
