If Ayu left Avex??

What do you think would happen if Ayu left her record company, Avex...?? Yes, I know we all doubt it would ever happen... but just pretend.

After all, Ayu accounts for 30% of the company's income... That's a little too high...

Do you think Avex would be as strong of a company? What do you think other record companies would do after they found out Ayu left?? Do you think if Ayu left it would benefit her or not??

I'm just curious as to what you guys think...

If she did leave Avex, my initial guess would be that she'd have some backup company if she was hoping to continue to sing. If not, then my next guess would be that she's perhaps not interested in the music business anymore, and that'd be a sad thought

Avex would be in deep waters... And I dun think that any other music companies would want ayu... as she is too costly to be maintained...

If Ayu left avex, avex would pump BoA for more new releases, just like they do with Ayu.

That'd most likely happen, since BoA's got a few languages behind her (making her easily marketable in most asian countries). Plus, she's young, so she can keep singing for at least another 10 years before, kids may consider her "old".

not by much, she's not as hot as she was 2 years ago. The new company would also probably not release so much by her.

Ayumi costs so much to maintain because look at all the crap she advertises for. And no doubt about it she probably requires high high maintance just to go out on a date. Sure people of the upperclass say something simple, but really they like the rich fancy dinner, limos, $200 tip and so on

I'm sure avex's contract pays for some of Ayumi's stuff too and since she is like #1 tax payer in Japan, that's a lot of stuff to be paying for.

where did you get that bit of info?

If Ayu left Avex, some other big company is going to carry her...most likely Sony music.
I mean who doesn't want a piece of that Grade A meat?....in terms of the musical talent of course.

ayu seems pretty loyal to her label. I don't think she'd leave unless she was meaning to retire.
but yeah, avex would probably pump up boa as the next ayu.

(btw, ayu is the number 1 tax payer in terms of entertainers, right?)
